Written by I just saw a commercial for Miracle at St. Anna. While I was watching the trailer, the first thing that came to my mind is that this has to be a Spike Lee film. In the middle of the summer, Spike Lee criticized Clint Eastwood for Eastwood’s “Flags of Our Fathers” and the lack of African-American soldiers. Eastwood responded with “Has he ever studied history?” There were no African-American soldiers in the actual battle portrayed by Eastwood. He went on to say “A guy like him should shut his face”.
The only reason that I am commenting on this is because I think Spike Lee is an idiot. He is a great director, but as soon as he opens his mouth, nothing but crap comes out.
I have not seen this movie, nor will I. I don’t agree with anything Spike Lee says. Racism may be alive still today, but with the election of Obama, we took a great step forward. I really don’t think Spike helps the cause he’s fighting for…
