Written by Apparently One-Eyed Willie’s legacy lives on… Pirates along the Somalia coast have hijacked over 100 ships this year alone, include a super tanker from the Middle East worth an estimated $100 million dollars. In fact, just yesterday, pirates attempted to board a cruise liner with 1000 people aboard.
Just like the pirates of the old days, the Somalians are simply doing this for financial gain. The ransoms paid to them value in the tens of millions. Not a bad paycheck for a couple weeks work.
I’m sick of these pirates though. You’re ruining my childhood dream of being a pirate. The days of searching for Blackbeard’s treasure on Ocracoke Island are over. No more “X marks the spot”. Now the world has to deal with Dalmar the Somalian (who, may I add, still has BOTH his legs).
I always wanted to go on a cruise. I’m too scared to go on one now. That makes me pretty sad. I think I may just sit in my room all night and drink some Captain Morgan…
